Compassionate Care
The mission of Compassionate Health Center is to provide high-quality, integrated healthcare to underserved and uninsured adults in Fulton County, Indiana. The organization is committed to delivering compassionate, accessible, and competent care to those in need, with the goal of improving health and well-being throughout the community.
Council of Aging
Serving every corner of the county, they offer essential programs for aging adults—from games to transportation. Whether it's a friendly game of Euchre, a ride to a medical appointment, or a craft class, their programs foster connection and independence. Their vans proudly feature the United Way logo, symbolizing years of partnership and support.

Court Appointed Special Advocates
CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates, provides trained volunteers to advocate for children in the court system due to abuse or neglect. With 12 volunteers and a dedicated director, they’re a lifeline for vulnerable youth. These advocates are often the most consistent adults in a child’s life during challenging legal proceedings, helping ensure their voices are heard. Their presence can influence life-changing decisions that affect a child's safety and future.

Fulton County Animal Center
As the county’s only open-admission, no-kill shelter, they provide shelter, care, and adoption services for animals in need. Each animal receives medical care, vaccinations, and behavioral assessments, giving them the best chance for adoption. Their life saving statistics—over 94% for cats and 97% for dogs in 2023—speak to their incredible dedication.

Manitou Center
Supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through job training, community activities, and skill-building. Participants build confidence through real-world experiences and form lasting friendships through social outings and events. The center represents inclusion, empowerment, and a deep sense of community.

Pack-a-Backpack
Founded by Jacki Johnson, this initiative ensures no student goes without supplies. Over 600 backpacks and 60+ free haircuts were provided in 2024. From headphones to pencils, they supply students with the tools they need year-round—not just in August. Their back-to-school event brings the community together in support of local kids.
Retired & Senior Volunteer Program
RSVP connects volunteers 55+ with meaningful roles, from food distribution to tax filing. Volunteers serve at multiple nonprofits, including Meals on Wheels and Habitat for Humanity, providing critical support. In 2023, they filed 70+ tax returns, helping families recover over $32,000—showing just how impactful seniors can be.

Salvation Army
Providing emergency funds for rent, food, medical needs, and transportation—supporting local families twice a year. Their mission to meet human needs is fulfilled by volunteers who act quickly in times of crisis. With help from United Way, they expand their reach and reduce financial hardship for those struggling.
The Outlet Youth Center
The Outlet Youth Center is faith-based, youth driven, and community minded. Through community partnerships and programming it encourages teens and preteens to make positive life choices. They do this in a safe and structured environment led by Executive Director Taylor Showley and Board President Jason See. You can find daily clubs after school for students in 6th through 12th grades from art and STEM to chess and grub club. Each student enjoys a snack and dinner before they are transported back home by the Outlet Youth Center. The Fulton County United Way is pleased to join the rest of our local community in supporting the Outlet Youth Center.

United Ministries
United Ministries gives assistance in the form of food or funds to Fulton County residents in need while keeping in mind God’s purposes. Their food pantry and annual Christmas baskets serve Richland, Rochester, and Liberty township residents. They currently offer $600 towards rent one time per year or $400 towards a utility one time per year per family. In 2023 United Ministries averaged $12,000 per month in donations towards rent and $3,000 per month in donations towards utilities. It is not uncommon for funds to run dry before the end of the year but with the help of Fulton County United Way, David Smook and his group of 30 volunteers try to never turn away a family in need.
